Description
Vincent Van Gogh painted The Starry Night from his room in the mental asylum at Saint-Remy where he was recovering from mental illness & his ear amputation. However, the painting came entirely from Van Gogh’s imagination.. Vincent shot himself in a wheat field in France & died 2 days later at the age of 37. In a short period of ten years with more than 900 paintings, only one was sold.
